City Works in Alfred Street, Gloucester, is a vibrant and energetic setting for the meeting or activity you might be planning. We have rooms available ideal for training sessions or meetings, dance classes and art workshops as well as offices to rent. And by using us you are helping to support our core charitable work.
The venue is bright, airy, and designed to provide contemporary surroundings whilst maintaining the original character of the building. We pride ourselves in providing an engaging atmosphere and a warm welcome. Except for the dance studio, all areas are accessible with disabled parking and an independent-use lift.

The Dance Studio measures 13 metres x 10 metres and benefits from an abundance of natural light and a spectacular sprung floor. Ideal for fitness or movement classes, drama or dance rehearsals. Please contact us in the first instance to check availability.

Our large open plan space can accommodate up to 20 people around sturdy tables with washing facilities alongside. The GRC’s Scrapstore and Art Shop on site is an extra bonus! OFFICE RENTAL

City Works is home to many community, arts, and commercial projects and is an ideal location for organisations wishing to be on the ‘doorstep’ of the people they support, strategically placed to serve the county. Our aim is to allow fledgling social enterprise an atmosphere in which to grow and develop and many of our established tenants choose to stay at City Works because of the benefits of working within the City Works community. Tenants benefit from meeting space, shared kitchen, and a refreshment area. Rents are all-inclusive, meaning no fluctuating or unexpected costs within a financial year. At City Works, we are highly conscious of our environmental responsibilities and ask all our tenants to work with us to minimise our collective impact. In addition everyone benefits from our impressive solar installation that helps keep costs to a minimum.
We have a selection of units ranging from 113 to 430 square feet. We always welcome enquiries and are happy to show you around if you are looking to relocate. We operate a licence system to minimise administration and our rents are inclusive of heat and normal office power usage and WiFi.
