Visits can be arranged for up to 30 children with their teachers to explore
the topic of re-use.
A visit to the Scrapstore can help children to appreciate the value and importance
of re-use in art, craft and educational projects. A short quiz has been devised to help children to focus on what the materials
were originally manufactured for and to explore why they have ended up as waste.
The visit includes a session with an artist exploring different techniques
re-using materials from the Scrapstore.
"The organisation of the whole day was excellent. The children were actively involved from
the moment they arrived and the staff could not have been more helpful"
Deputy Head Bluecoat Primary School
"There’s lots of bits and pieces. Materials and glue. Big bits, small bits and messy bits too. There are no sums and spelling and hardly any rules!"
