The GRC has been awarded “Environmental Charity of the Year 2011″ by the Gloucestershire Assembly at their Gloscars event held on the 7th December 2011.  Recognised for our work that impacts on the environment that includes the Scrapstore service promoting the re-use of business waste and reducing local landfill levels; our efforts to minimise our collective footprint at City Works along with all our tenants and visitors plus our new solar installation that is helping to increase renewable energy for the benefit of the wider community.  The Trustees, staff, volunteers and everyone involved is grateful for this recognition and it will spur us on to try harder in the years to come.  We would like to thank the Gloucestershire Assembly for the award.
